This month we will be concentrating on writing for the fringe and publicity material ready for the launch of Our World Tour at Chapel Carnival. Cllr. Guy Martin, Chairman of Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council, attended a recent parade of the Chapel Army Cadet Force and presented Lt. Andy Smith with a shield, to be awarded on a regular basis to a Cadet who has demonstrated the qualities required to inspire and achieve within the ACF. Cllr. Martin, who met the Cadets some time ago, said "I was very impressed then with the enthusiasm and interest taken by the Cadets and their discipline and felt that a tangible recognition was needed. These young people, both boys and girls, give up their time to learn new skills and they deserve our support" “ On my last visit the Cadets were working towards their Heartstart first aid and this time they were learning map reading in preparation for a weekend away.”

CHAPEL PARK BOWLING CLUBMemorial Park, Rowton Grange Road. Members of any age are welcome although 7 is probably the lowest age to handle bowls. The Club would be pleased to train anyone interested, arrange practice & this could lead to playing in local leagues. There are several players aged between 12 and 18 who play for local clubs.
